Palliative Care Consultative Service Loddon Mallee Region

The work of the service includes:

	Information, education, advice and support for providers of palliative care in the region.
	Education for patients, carers, families, volunteers, and the community.
	Innovative palliative care clinical and social interventions, care provision, and outcome measures.
	Conferences, Courses, Workshops, on site In-service Education in all types of facilities and settings where palliative care is practised.
	Promotion of palliative care services – encouraging earlier access to palliative care.
	Promotion of best practise in palliative care.
	Seeking funding for projects, research and education.
	Maintaining strong links and working relationships with service providers, the Department of Human Services, Educational institutions, professional associations and bodies, and with volunteers and the community.
