
We believe that pastoral care is an integral part of the model of care and essential in interdisciplinary team planning. We actively promote and support ongoing training of pastoral carer's in our region.
We are currently undertaking an assessment of the education and support needs of pastoral carers in the region.
Pastoral carers offer palliative care patients and/or clients the following:

Listening to hopes, fears, longings

Assistance in the exploration of personal meaning and self worth

Faith and spiritual issues support
