Denny Zepnick Memorial Scholarship

The Denny Zepnick Memorial Scholarship commenced in 1999 and was set up to encourage and support rural health workers who want to pursue further studies in palliative care. The aim is to provide a high standard of care through suitably educated and qualified people to care for terminally ill patients and to overcome some of the obstacles to study faced by rural health workers, including cost and isolation.

The scholarship is an initiative of Loddon Mallee Palliative Care agencies and has been put together in memory of Denny Zepnick, a distinguished nurse with the Mt Alexander Hospital who was passionate about the needs of palliative patients and a tireless worker in this area.
